Circle | Customer documentary
Circle x Pat Flynn
Circle's first customer documentary series. Jordan built the format, defined the visual identity and narrative style, and produced 10 films in year one.
What this project was
Circle needed stronger customer proof. Not more testimonials. Stronger proof. The answer was a documentary-style customer series built around real people, real communities, and real transformation. The goal was to make Circle feel human without getting soft or generic.
What the company needed
Circle had momentum, strong customers, and a real product story. What it needed was a better way to show that story. The company needed a repeatable format that could make customer proof feel watchable, give marketing and brand a stronger trust asset, turn communities into stories people could actually care about, and raise the visual and editorial standard for customer video.
What I owned
- Designed the format
- Defined the visual identity and narrative style
- Handled end-to-end logistics
- Directed shoots
- Built the contractor model needed to execute the work
- Edited and finished the films
What mattered in the work
The key was restraint. A lot of customer videos die because they are too polished in the wrong way. They tell the viewer exactly what to think. They flatten the person into a marketing line. The stronger move was to keep the films grounded in real observation, selective detail, and emotional discipline. That is what makes proof feel believable.
Outcome and proof
- Jordan launched Circle's first customer documentary series and produced 10 films in year one.
- The series gave Circle a stronger visual language for customer proof.
- It created a repeatable system for turning real members into high-trust storytelling.
What this project proves
This project shows that Jordan can build a content system from scratch, not just direct one nice film. It also shows range across human-centered storytelling that still serves the business.
